Today as I was recording some of the last bits for Hurt I had a little break and came up with "Wemdu" - It's a fun little song about, well it's pretty obvious when you hear it.

Pavement are a huge favourite of mine, they manage to play notes together that wouldn't normally sound cool. The singer is even off key most of the time but somehow they pull it all off in awesome fashion. This was in my mind when I played this.

Have a listen and see what you think anyway - this was all recorded in half an hour, it's all completely improvised and most of the recording time was taken getting the vocals in the right place. It probably didn't all come out as I wanted it too, and the tones etc aren't all that hot, but I'm happy to leave it as it is for now :) (Smile)

New track uploaded! "The Ides of March" is about what it says, the middle of March - it's all about the coming of spring and how it's all starting to get warm and some colour's starting to come out in the garden again. It's meant to be an optimistic song so I thought it'd be cool to give it a name that is linked so much to doom (thanks Shakespeare). I'm not all that happy with it, my singing is pretty poor but I've had flu all week and I just wanted to complete this so i could get on with some other projects. The solo isn't great either, but that purely cos I'm rubbish at them :D (Big Grin) I think I've improved in the production though...hmmmm - have a listen and see what you think, I really hope you enjoy it :) (Smile)

Just uploaded a new track! "Heart Shaped Paranoia" is a song I wrote this week. It came about when I got frustrated trying to record another song of mine and began just messin' about. The song is about when you first fall in love with someone (or become infatuated, whatever) and although it's one of the best feelings in the world, you also have this dread that something will happen to ruin it. All the acoustic parts were played on my Tanglewood TW45, the electric was on the Strat and I even managed to get my trusty harmonica in on the act! Hope you like it :) (Smile)

Just uploaded a new track! "Love In Vain" is an old Delta Blues track written by Robert Johnson, here I've simplified the arrangement slightly (so I can play it!) and also added a little electric blues solo at the end as a replacement for the eerie howling and moaning that he does in the original.

Please feel free to criticise and give any tips on levels or eq etc!
